Renewable Energies

People have been dreaming of renewable energies ever since they realized that fossil fuels would only be available for a limited period of time.

Problem with waste

Every year, we produce about 2bn tons of waste on the planet. The vast majority of this waste is either buries in dump sites, or just gets thrown in nature and in the ocean. Plastics are a particularly serious problem since it decomposes extremely slowly and, it turns out, that it breaks down over time into micron sized particles that are getting into our water supplies on land and are creating an even more severe problem in the oceans, where we are already finding micro plastics in fish and even in sea salt.

Our Ecogy® technology offers a solution to the clean and efficient recycling of biogenic waste, and particularly plastics, converting the problem into a clean renewable energy solution. Ecogy offers a solution to two of the world’s most severe problems!

The Ecogy® Technology

For many years we have been dealing with the topic of "renewable energy" and have now developed the only possible solution for this worldwide.

And since - also shortly before Christmas 2018 - the European Patent Office based in Rijswijk /NL has granted us the European-wide exclusive right to use this development by means of a patent, we can now begin with the production of paraffin wax, naphtha, olefins and gas.

On the way there, we have first of all dedicated ourselves to the problem of converting plastic waste into chemical products. The realization was started in 2015 and led to a first plant, which could be verified shortly before Christmas 2018 - exactly on 19 December 2018 - by the IUTA. The IUTA is a German institute in the field of energy and environmental technology and has comparable tasks in the field of new mechanical developments as the TÜV for the approval testing of motor vehicles. The inspector, who was present for the whole time, had to be proven a 24-hour uninterrupted production run by the company.

The test report had to confirm "that the system to be tested had been in operation for 24 hours in a row without any interruption and absolutely faultless in the presence of the inspector and had thus passed its service test".

This production is based - as mentioned earlier - on a number of patented processes and devices and will continue to be carried out exclusively together with our partners in the Netherlands. Further 30 plants are planned in the Netherlands and Germany.

Bio-Energy

Our real task, however, is to convert biogenic materials or organic waste into various forms of energy in the future. We will be able to use all biogenic waste again in our ECOGY process - into 100% synthesis gas without any problems.

In further steps this syngas can be converted into:

  1. Methane
  2. Hydrogen
  3. Olefins
  4. Synthetic fuels and then also e.g. via methane in
  5. Electricity

In the Netherlands, methane can be produced from organic waste in this way, thus compensating the decline in natural gas production by NAM (Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij).

Since the control of the plant is extremely flexible, any organic substance can be converted into syngas. By mixing the added gases, such as oxygen and water steam, the heat generated inside the reactor can be easily controlled and, due to the high temperature inside the reactor, only CO is produced.

If there are problems with the operation of cars due to exhaust gases, we can produce almost unlimited amounts of pure hydrogen (and above all at much more favorable conditions than the competition!), which can then be used directly as gas in engines or can provide the electricity for the electric cars via fuel cells and produce no CO2 at all.

But we can also produce bio-plastics via the olefin route, i.e. plastic from household waste!

However, by means of our very special quasi-Fischer-Tropsch synthesis we can produce all fuels, just as they are otherwise developed from crude oil. The unbeatable advantage of our ECOGY fuels, however, is that they are purely aliphatic and therefore produce almost no fine particles and only negligible amounts of nitrogen oxides, even in diesel engines.

The fuels produced by our system (diesel, jet fuel and gasoline) have about 10% lower specific gravity and 5% higher caloric value compared to conventional fuels, and they produce lower CO2 emissions. Ecogy produced jet fuels can greatly improve fuel economy of jet aircraft as well as reducing emissions.

This makes ECOGY technology the only way in which the entire mankind can be supplied with sufficient energy in the long term - and only from biogenic materials or waste.
